    Class A CDL Driver - Transportation Duties:

     

    Delivery Driver must have the ability to communicate effectively with Route Leaders, Customers, and other team members to ensure the optimum customer care and attention to concerns raised by customers.

     

    The Delivery Driver will check in daily with Route Leader to guarantee solutions.

     

    Will deliver, rotate and merchandise all products carried by CED to assigned customers by pricing products in accounts where necessary and ensuring product is rotated to CED standards to include coolers, displays, and all storage areas.

     

    Will handle any outdated product according to guidelines and will build and replenish any displays in the stores.

     

    Deliver Driver will actively participate in all training and communications meetings as required and will be included in incentives and training.

     

    Candidate must be adaptable to changes in equipment assignments, procedures, and methods.

     

    Class A CDL Delivery Driver - Transportation Qualifications:

     

    Delivery Driver must be 21 years of age or older;

     

    Able to receive a NC Wholesaler Salesman’s permit per the ABC Commission requirements;

     

    Have an acceptable driving record per our Driving Policy;

     

    Delivery Driver must possess a Class A, CDL License or permit and pass a DOT Physical examination;

     

    Have a High School Diploma or equivalent;

     

    Have 1 or more years of driving experience;

     

    Delivery Driver must possess exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills;

     

    And have a can do attitude.

     

    A proper uniform is required by CED and must be worn daily

    SUMMARY

     

    Works alongside Sales Representatives, or independently while marketing and merchandising the Company’s products and displays within an assigned territory, servicing specific stores and restaurants on a regular basis.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    Assume all specific job responsibilities related to the Grocery merchandising Position, including but not limited to:

     

    Insure proper rotation of product in a timely manner, including stocking, merchandising, facing, etc. of all products in the market

     

    Knowledge of all pricing, promotions and company goals

     

    Maintain package integrity and quality standards in the marketplace

     

    Build, disassemble,  maintain and merchandise displays in various accounts, if required

     

    Maintain back room and back stock in neat and orderly condition

     

    Strong understanding of branding principles and the ability to apply those principles to

    merchandising materials

     

    Assume accountability for all equipment used to deliver and merchandise an assigned route

     

    Obey all traffic laws and safely use all equipment with caution

    Maintain professional personal appearance (per grooming and uniform policies)

    SUMMARY

     

    -Responsible for regular call frequency on assigned retail accounts primarily to sell volume, increase

     

    distribution, merchandise, monitor price and shelf space management.

     

    -Build business relationships with and present professional sales presentations using sales histories and

     

    pitch books.

     

    -Responsible for maintaining published product freshness standards in assigned retail accounts by

     

    monitoring and rotating stocks. Responsibility to maintain an up to date mobility system.

     

    -Sell-in new placements.  Merchandise with paper POS, book permanent POS.

     

    -Increase shelf space and position AB products.  Introduce new brands and packages where appropriate.

     

    -Work with credit departments to resolve credit issues including collecting past due balances.

     

    -Responsible for daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels using past sales history, changes in

     

    climate, competitive activity and special promotional activities.

     

    -Responsible for fulfilling pre-established objectives set by the District Sales Manager and

     

    implementation of Company programs at retail level.

     

    -Make daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels using past sales history and reports.

     

    -Attend sales/team meetings as directed by management along with daily interaction with manager to

     

    discuss sales issues, competitive activities, and opportunities to maximize sales efforts.

     

    - Must be able to participate in evening and weekend promotions as necessary.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    We are flexible with the start time.

    Duties include, checking in route drivers, cashing out register, making sure that all invoices, cash and checks are accounted for, entering daily sales in Quick books, closing out the route accounting system and getting paperwork ready for the next business day. Beginner Quick books experience is preferred.
